From Acoustic to full-blown Rock!

Gary Windley, a singer-songwriter and frontman of local rock band Powerhouse, has been in to transform a track from an acoustic idea with just two chords into a full-blown rock song.

The idea was from a friend of Gary’s, Dani Turner, who lives in Hastings (another seaside town just down the road from us here at the studio).

nice guitars

The weapons of choice for the song

An arsenal of guitars were used to create the huge sound that the track now possesses. Some of the guitars used include a Gibson Les Paul Custom, a Rory Gallagher Signature Strat, a PRS Hollowbody and a Taylor 714CE. Nice. The mixture of beautifully rich acoustic with thin but crunchy Strat and a mean Les Paul has resulted in a very full sound!

As already mentioned, Gary is the lead singer of local rock/blues cover band Powerhouse. They can be spotted playing in pubs in and around Eastbourne, often playing the likes of The Knack and Tom Robinson.
