From X Factor to Opera

Paige Anderson from Portsmouth has been in to record four songs with a mixture of genres, from Damien Rice, to Rihanna, to Opera! Paige won a competition with her former company – the company held a talent show and Paige came out on top! She was rewarded with a cash prize, to be spent on whatever she wanted –┬áprompting Paige to book a recording session with Eastbourne’s premier recording facility CMP Studios!

Paige in the booth

Paige has been singing since she was twelve, but only in the last four years has she discovered her talent within the opera genre. Paige is only 19 years old but her voice has very much impressed the producers and engineers here at the studio. She sang covers of Rihanna’s ‘Stay’, Damien Rice’s ‘9 Crimes’, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Pie Jesu’ and Brendan Graham’s ‘You Raise Me Up’ – but all with her own twist. The session was filmed and will soon be available to watch on CMP’s YouTube channel!

In 2011, Paige was on X Factor as part of a group called ‘V-Box’. The group consisted of four male singers, and Paige. The group got all the way to boot camp!

Hopefully we’ll see Paige again soon with some more operatic delights! Keep your eyes peeled for Paige’s videos popping up on our YouTube channel!
