Mickey’s Girl!

The time has come! Mickey’s Girl, a band made up of local musicians, Jack Turner, Rich Hughes and CMP’s very own Glen Stebbings have been in today to record their first E.P.

Mickey's Girl

Mickey’s Girl, brain child of Fantastic Jack himself, plan to be gigging by the end of July and will be handing out the E.P at the shows for fans to listen to. The general vibe of the music is heavy, melodic rock with a hint of Guns and Roses chucked in to make you feel at home. Influences behind the music come from Manic Street Preachers, Guns and Roses, Wild Hearts and Faith No More, to name but a few.

The session began today with CMP’s Glen laying down the drums to scratch tracks of the guitar and bass, prepared prior to today’s recording. Needless to say, Glen was as tight as a mosquito’s bottom in performing said tracks. Next up was Rich who layed down the bass to the new drums, and then Jack who put down all kinds of crazy guitars. Nice, very nice. Lastly, Jack strolled into the booth to perform his Whitney Houston style vocals – just kidding – no Whitney vocals round here. Naturally, he rocked it.
