Local band the Beagles (or B’eagles, their name being an amalgamation of the two classic groups the Beatles and the Eagles) have come to us once more for another round of recording!

This time they recorded 11 tracks for a brand new promotional album, which they will then be selling at upcoming gigs.

In addition to recording a number of Beatles and Eagles hits (classics such as ‘Take It Easy’, ‘Drive My Car’, ‘Lady Madonna’, ‘Hotel California’, and an a cappella rendition of ‘Seven Bridges Road’), the band have expanded their repertoire to include tracks as diverse as Paul Carrack’s ‘How Long’, Golden Earring’s ‘Radar Love’, and Don Henley’s ‘The Boys of Summer’.

The four-piece band – comprising Paul (bass & vocals), Adrian (guitar & vocals), Andy (keys, guitar & vocals), and new member Rob (drums & vocals) – now operate as a four-part harmony group, which enables them to add further texture and depth to their varied list of songs.

On top of recording their yet-to-be-titled album, the Beagles have a couple of exciting gigs in the pipeline: a set at the Royal Oak & Castle Inn from 3pm on Saturday 25th July, and then another set at the Harrow Inn in Hastings later on that evening at 8:30pm.

And judging by how tight and clean their sound is, we’re sure that both Beagles gigs will be a great success! For all the latest Beagle-related news, you can visit their Facebook page (for which click here).
